In Year 9, our school’s White Rose Maths curriculum prepares students for the transition to GCSE-level studies. They refine their algebraic skills, solving quadratic equations and exploring inequalities and graphs. Students investigate direct and inverse proportion, and enhance their understanding of geometric principles, including trigonometry and Pythagoras’ theorem. They work on complex problems involving surface area and volume of 3D shapes. Probability and statistics lessons focus on advanced data analysis and probability calculations. This comprehensive programme equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for higher-level maths, fostering confidence and academic excellence.
